Introducing the ProX MB-16 16" Mirror Disco Ball, a professional-grade reflective sphere built to take command of larger spaces with authority. Step up to the 16" size and the difference is immediate. The beam throws go wider, the reflected light hits harder, and the room feels the effect from wall to wall. For mobile DJs who need a stronger visual statement, club owners, lounge and bar operators, and production companies outfitting mid-size event venues, the ProX MB-16 delivers the real disco ball experience that smaller sizes simply cannot match.

Core Construction The MB-16 is built around a high-density Polystyrene foam (EPS) core, the engineered material of choice across professional mirror ball manufacturing. The closed-cell EPS structure stays rigid under stage heat, resists moisture absorption, and holds a true round profile through years of touring, hanging, and repeated reinstallation. The ball maintains a perfectly balanced sphere from show to show, ensuring smooth, even rotation and consistent light distribution across the full surface in every direction.

Glass Mirror Tiles The full exterior of the MB-16 is finished with precision-cut, high-grade glass mirror tiles measuring 3/8" (10mm). Each tile is produced to consistent thickness with clean square edges for tight, uniform edge-to-edge placement across the sphere. Every tile carries a premium silvered backing delivering maximum reflectivity, true color rendering, and crisp beam definition when hit by a focused light source. The mirror coating is sealed against tarnishing and discoloration, holding its bright silver finish through years of professional event use.

Tile Adhesion and Density Every tile is individually bonded using a professional-grade high-strength industrial adhesive that grips firmly through motor rotation, road transport, and repeated nightly installations. ProX mirror balls use a denser tile pattern than traditional designs, producing significantly more reflective surface area and a brighter, sharper field of light across walls and ceilings with every revolution.

Mounting Hardware A reinforced steel center rod runs the full vertical axis of the ball from top pole to bottom pole, providing a stable internal backbone for hanging and rotation. A heavy-duty removable O-ring sits at the top mounting point and is secured by an M10 nut for a tight, reliable anchor that holds through the demands of professional production environments.

Motor Compatibility The MB-16 is compatible with both the ProX X-MBM-1 (3 RPM) and the ProX X-MBM-2 (1 RPM) mirror ball motors, both sold separately through ProX Direct. It also works as a universal fit with any standard rotator on the market.

Compliance and Weight The MB-16 is CE and RoHS compliant. Net weight is 2.2 kg (4.85 lbs).
