Core Construction The MB-24 is built around a high-density Polystyrene foam (EPS) core, the professional industry standard for serious mirror ball manufacturing. EPS foam combines exceptional structural rigidity with very low weight, while its closed-cell construction provides outstanding long-term dimensional stability. The ball will not warp under sustained stage lighting heat, will not absorb humidity, and holds a perfectly true spherical profile across years of regular installation, touring, and storage cycles. This stable core is what keeps rotation smooth and reflection coverage consistent show after show.

Glass Mirror Tiles The exterior of the MB-24 is finished with precision-cut, high-grade glass mirror tiles measuring 1/2" (13mm), a larger tile size than the smaller balls in the ProX lineup, producing bigger, more dramatic individual beam reflections suited to the scale of a 24" format. Each tile is produced to consistent thickness with clean square edges for tight, uniform edge-to-edge placement across the sphere. Every tile carries a premium silvered backing delivering maximum reflectivity, true color rendering, and crisp beam definition under a focused light source. The mirror coating is sealed against tarnishing and discoloration to maintain its bright silver finish through years of demanding professional event and venue use.

Tile Adhesion and Density Each tile is individually bonded using a premium high-strength industrial adhesive that locks every piece firmly in place through continuous motor rotation, vibration, transport, and the realities of regular touring and nightly venue installations. ProX mirror balls use a denser tile pattern than traditional mirror ball construction, generating significantly more reflective surface area and producing brighter, sharper, more saturated beams of light across the room with every revolution.

Mounting Hardware A reinforced steel center rod runs the full vertical axis of the ball from top to bottom, anchored at each end by a heavy-duty removable O-ring and secured with an M10 nut for maximum mounting integrity. These provide strong, balanced connection points for rigging hardware and motor attachment, built to hold through long runs of continuous rotation in permanent and touring environments.

Motor Compatibility The MB-24 is designed to pair with the ProX X-MBM-2 (1 RPM) mirror ball motor, available separately through ProX Direct. It also works as a universal fit with any standard 1 RPM rotator on the market.
