The ProX XC-DMX25 25 Ft. High Performance DMX Male 3-Pin to DMX Female 3-Pin Coupler Patch Cable is the longest run in the ProX 3-pin DMX cable line, built for FOH-to-stage runs, dimmer rack to fixture cluster connections, or any long-distance DMX chain that spans a full production rig.
Construction and Signal Path: Built on a twisted quad data cable design with polyethylene insulation on each conductor, maintaining a nominal characteristic impedance of 110 ohms across the full 25-foot length so DMX data doesn't reflect or corrupt mid-chain. Duofoil shielding provides 100% coverage across the run, with a tinned copper braid adding 85% coverage on top for dual-layer interference rejection.
Conductors and Transfer Quality: Conductors are 22 AWG tinned copper with gold and silver-plated contacts at both connectors. Nominal capacitance from conductor to conductor at 1 kHz is 12.8 pF/ft, with conductor-to-shield capacitance at 23 pF/ft. Nominal propagation velocity is 66%, with a nominal delay of 1.6 nanoseconds per foot. Nominal conductor DC resistance is 24 ohms per 1000 ft at 20°C, and outer shield resistance is 3.4 ohms per 1000 ft.
Jacket and Durability: The flexible PVC outer jacket is rated for an operating temperature range of -30°C to +75°C, with a maximum recommended current of 2.1 amps per conductor at 25°C. Built to handle coiling, dragging, storage, and repeated deployment across a full touring season without kinking or cracking.
Connectors: Both ends use 3-pin XLR-style DMX connectors with all-metal chassis construction and gold and silver-plated contacts, built to hold up through repeated patching and repositioning on production work at this scale.
