The ProX XCP-DMX25 is the long-run workhorse of the XCP-DMX series, built for the setups where shorter cables run out of room: console-to-dimmer rack runs on a wide stage, fixture chains stretched across a full truss grid, catwalk-to-floor drops, or any permanent install where running cable through conduit requires real length.

DMX-Specific Engineering: At 25 ft., the electrical characteristics of a DMX cable matter more than they do at 3 or 5 ft. DMX protocol operates at a nominal impedance of 110 ohms, and impedance mismatches from using non-DMX cable become a bigger problem as runs get longer. The XCP-DMX25 is purpose-built for DMX from the start, maintaining correct impedance and shielding characteristics across the full run.

OFC Conductors and Braided Copper Shield: Built around 22 AWG oxygen-free copper (OFC) conductors paired with a braided OFC copper compact shield that blocks interference from power distribution runs, audio snakes, dimmer packs, and architectural electrical systems, keeping DMX data clean across the full 25 ft. length.

All-Metal XLR Connectors with Silver Plated Contacts: Both ends feature ProX branded, all-metal XLR connectors that hold up through repeated connect-disconnect cycles without loosening or cracking. Silver plated contacts resist corrosion and maintain a consistent, low-resistance connection.

Flexible Construction: The jacket stays flexible enough to route through tight runs, over truss, through conduit, and back into a cable bag without stiffening or developing stress fatigue near the connectors, and coils cleanly through repeated use across a full production season.

Compatibility Note: Twisted pair DMX data cables like the ProX XCP-DMX25 are not suitable for audio use, and audio cables are not suitable for DMX. Their specifications and characteristics differ substantially - always use the correct cable type for reliable, stable connections.
